About Shugi
Shugi has had a love affair with gemstones and jewelry since forever. Living on a farm when wee, she would rummage through the earth for magic pebbles to fill her pockets with.
One October she went looking for an opal ring to be a gift from her husband. After months of searching, nothing was exactly right, so she decided to make her own.
Jewelry design quickly became an obsession and remains a joy.
Preferring the scale of heftier pieces but adamant about wearability, Shugi mindfully marries impact and comfort. The balance and scale of each piece takes much perfecting.
Shugi's gemstone pieces are all inspired by each gem, and are all one of a kind. She selects each stone based on a variety of factors, but always for their magic.
